United Refugee Organization Talk Team
To whom it may concern,:
The United Refugee Organization is a non profit organization, which aims to help with integration of asylum seekers and refugees.
As you know, Leeds is a very multicultural city with more than 150 different languages and cultures. Most schools in Leeds will have children from many different backgrounds and most will have some children who are asylum seekers or refugees. Sometimes it is difficult for British students to understand them.
Schools learn a great deal from having children of asylum seekers or refugees and become better schools because of them, but sometimes there can be misunderstandings about asylum seekers and refugees. To help schools, the United Refugee Organization has created a project to help reduce hostility to children of asylum seekers or refugees, to break down misunderstanding and to give more information about asylum seekers and refugees, to share our experience as foreign people in this country and our life in our country by telling our stories and answer questions face to face with pupils and teachers.
We are ready to have some sessions, giving talks in your school. The cost of a session is £50 for a session. This will be a donation to the United Refugee Organization.
If you would like us to come to your school please contact us at the address above.
Sincerely,
Frank Stevens
Chairman, United Refugee Organization
